Who we are

BLAST! is a science outreach and public engagement project which uses a range of methods to engage audiences with science. Our focus is primarily on finding interesting ways to meet and talk to people about science. If you would like to find out more about what we have done so far, click on Our Projects.

BLAST! is based in the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Science at The Open University and is run by a management team which meets quarterly.

Beyond the management team, we endeavour to work with Open University staff and Associate Lecturers from across the university, learning from their expertise and experience. We also have close links with the Open University's communications and regional marketing teams who have regularly supported the project.
